What is a jumpstart?

A dead car battery will commonly require a jumpstart. This may be an issue that occurs suddenly, and means you need roadside assistance, or it may be something you realise whilst still at home and can book an appointment for. Our staff will first off check that the issue is in fact the battery. If it is, there are two options. Depending on the state of your battery, they will either be able to give you a jumpstart using leads attached to our vehicle, which will get you back on the road immediately. If the jumpstart is not working, they have towing equipment on hand to take your vehicle to the nearest garage (or wherever you need) to have the problem resolved.

How do I know if I have a dead battery?

There are a few checks you can do to see if the problem does seem to be your battery. First off, do you have enough fuel in your tank? Next, are the wheels jammed in some way? Maybe they are up against the curb or wedged into a bank? Finally, check in that your key fob is working. Occasionally a key fob will die, so it is always a good idea to have a spare one to hand in case this situation does arise, and your vehicle will not start. What does lockout mean?

In the nightmare situation that you have locked yourself out of your car, we can help! Usually it is a simple case of giving us a call, our quick response team will be with you shortly, and then they will use their specialist equipment to open up your vehicle. All our equipment is state of the art and will cause no damage to your vehicle. It will be the use of a pump wedge or long reach tool. Simple! If these do not work, we will call out a lock smith service. They will be able to get you into your vehicle if the usual methods are not successful.
